A1 Diagnostics have won this year's "Innovation Business of the Year Award" at the prestigious Cardiff Business Awards 2025. Here is Rishi (Managing Director, A1 Diagnotics) picking up the award at the ceremony:  We managed the award from start to finish. We wrote the award application and submitted it to the judging body. Dean also went in front of the judging panel and answered every question on why A1 Diagnostics deserved to win the award for "Innovation Business of the Year" in 2025. Liz created Cardiff Business Awards in 2015; speaking about the awards Liz has said “the levels of success, ambition and achievement being shown by so many firms in Cardiff continues to cement the city’s place as a leading commercial centre for the UK.” Warren Lewis, Former Head of Corporate Banking, Wales  With 35+ years in banking- including as Head of Corporate Banking, Wales- Warren now advises leaders on growth, ESG, and international expansion. As Chair of the Cardiff Capital Region Business Climate Coalition, he’s passionate about helping businesses pivot to net zero. Ken Poole MBE - Head of Economic Development at Cardiff Council  Ken leads Cardiff’s economic strategy, works with top businesses to bring investment to the city, and drives major regeneration projects shaping the future of Cardiff and the region. He also champions Cardiff on the UK and global stage. Agnes Xavier-Phillips JP DL  A highly accomplished solicitor and former General Counsel of GE Capital London, Agnes brings a wealth of expertise to the panel. Her portfolio includes Cardiff University, Welsh Water, CBC and FFIN Dance. She also serves as a Justice of the Peace, Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent, Freeman of the City of London, and Master of the Welsh Livery. Paul Hoop  Paul is CEO and former Co-Founder of Hoop Recruitment, one of Wales’ largest independent specialist recruitment consultancies. With nearly 20 years’ experience in leadership and talent management, he has guided Hoop through its transition to Employee Ownership in 2024, earning accolades including Cardiff Business of the Year, Financial & Professional Service Business of the Year, and Employer of the Year.
